About Second Billing

Second Billing reads the day’s cult-film, B-movie and horror-convention news so you do not have to. Each weekday an editor goes through announcements, guest-list updates, distribution filings and reporting from across the scene, picks what matters, and writes it up in our own words. Every item says why it matters and links to whoever reported it first.

The name is the point: “second billing” is the credit under the star’s, the world of working character actors, franchise veterans and beloved faces who never got the marquee but built the genre anyway. That’s who this site is for and about.

Every Monday morning the best of the week arrives in one email, The weekly digest. It is written for convention-goers, collectors, indie filmmakers, distributors and anyone who follows this corner of the industry.

Second Billing covers the convention circuit and the B-movie/cult world across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, and the wider international scene.

Who edits it

Second Billing is edited and published by Christopher Ross, a Canadian web practitioner based in Fort Erie, Ontario, who runs thisismyurl.com. The editor is accountable for what runs here.

Because the publisher’s own business advertises on this site, we say so plainly: see interests we disclose.
